how do I make them hate each other using a meditator? I’m really confused. I have a meditator, but I can’t change any relationship with different cats 

THANK YOU!!!! I’m so glad there’s a option to stop this cause it made me so upset that my cat had to retire the second she turned into a apprentice, it’s like her childhood was being taken away which not fit with my storyline that I made at all. 

Hey! I just noticed the kit I have in my clan is paralyzed, and it just reached 6 moons, but won’t at all become anything other than elder. No matter how many times I refresh the game by leaving without saving and trying to reroll a response again, it’s always that they’d rather retire. I think this is a bit unfair and ableist, and that even if they can’t contribute as a warrior, they should still have the ability to atleast become a meditator, or become a apprentice without the ability to go on patrols, such as just helping around camp. It’s just kind of upsetting to see disabled cats being treated with the same ableism as in the books, it’s not fair to force them into retirement the second they are apprenticed. This isn’t a attack btw, I totally understand it’s just some pixels and that it’s not a big deal, i just felt I should share my feedback on this cause I find it sad that the stereotype of disabled people not being helpful is being implemented in a lot of my favorite stuff. :’) love this game though! This won’t stop me from playing, I really like clangen and I’ve been playing for like months, it’s a really fun game and I look forward to any future updates!

it wasn’t very old, it was 51 moons old. :( but I was writing a REALLLYYY long story all centered around the bloodline of my leader, I dedicated time away from my schoolwork to my clan to create this big detailed story with every single character and its personalities imported into a google doc, my screenshot storage is filled with every sprite that ever joined the clan and every moment of the life of each cat, I spent months on my clan. :’( I’m probably gonna spend all summer trying to redo the whole storyline again 💔

I feel like it isn’t counterproductive because of a few reasons. 

1. These are clan cats, they are personified and very sentient, so it’s only realistic for them to question the gender role given to them at birth, obviously, it’s just a game, and it doesn’t need to be realistic, but it’s still a option that makes the game feel more real and makes each cat feel real as well. It’s not out of the ordinary for a person in real life to decide being male or female doesn’t sit right with them, so that is why it’s portrayed in the game to make the cats feel heavily personified :] 

2. it doesn’t bother anything in the game. It’s not counterproductive, nor productive, it remains neutral and doesn’t effect gameplay at all. A cat deciding it wants to have “Tom’ instead of “She-cat” in its alliegance list does not affect gameplay and it is just a option for making people feel more accepted as trans identities become more well-known, and, I’d hate to say it, but it’s purely cosmetic and it’s not really a think that needs to be changed. It’s not bothersome, it’s not affecting gameplay, and it’s a really small change to the gameplay otherwise. 

Overall having the transgender identities in the game makes queer players feel more accepted, and people who feel at discomfort about this need to just, politely, and put in the most lighthearted way, “Suck it up.” Because it’s not going to bother you if a pixelated cat decides it wants to be a different gender. And if you still cannot accept this even after the paragraphs I wrote, then that’s why there’s a “change gender” option for if you would like to change it back to the original gender. 

I noticed this is a really old comment but I’d still like to reply on it so you can understand why the trans identities thing is important and should not be removed due to your discomfort over a cat game :] 

Yes! Go to the file itself on your computer and copy the save file, it should be labeled “saves”, then, download an updated version of Clangen, go to settings, and find the little button at the bottom left of the settings, something labeled code or whatever, then delete the current save file, and replace it with the new save file! There’s more information on how to do this on YouTube and stuff, but it worked for me, and this will only work if you delete the current save in the exact file you want to replace ur saves in. Hope this helped :D

never mind I’m just gonna have to redo my entire thing :’/ 

help I used the new system of downloading updates, and after I downloaded the may update, it said my shortcut to the file was no longer valid and it deleted the whole file itself and all its saves :( please help I don’t know how to get my saves back and I was writing a story using my characters, I don’t know what happened and in my windows files it doesn’t show my clanged files or saves at all. PLEASE HELP THIS IS URGENT
